Machu Picchu Tourism

All the Machu Picchu pictures you'll find online can't and won't compare the detailed labor that the Incas had to put on, in order to get this amazing result. Not only Machu Picchu but lot's of archaeological sites spread through Peru show the perfection that this culture had in mind, and the vision they worked hard for.

Here some interesting Machu Picchu facts:
- Machu Picchu is called the “lost city” because the jungle had literally swallowed it when Yale explorer Hiram Bingham III “rediscovered” it in 1911. When the overgrown vegetation was removed, the complex of ruins was revealed.

For Machu Picchu Tours we always recommend to spend at least one night in Aguas Calientes, the nearest town (20 min. away). For those who have the time and are looking for an incredible experience, we recommend to star two nights. There are all kinds of hotels in Aguas Calientes, from hostals to 5 stars hotels. Enjoy Machu Picchu!

Also visit the Peru Travel Packages section, they are amazing and interesting because there are many unique places to visit besides Machu Picchu.

Tourism without borders

Machu Picchu the ancient Inca city, rediscovered as the early 20th century, but for some reason, was completely
abandoned some 100 years later. Not only Machu Picchu but lot's of archaeological sites spread through Peru show the perfection that this culture had in mind, and the vision they worked hard for.

Unfortunately, most of the cities built by the Incas were destroyed by Spanish conquistadors, but Machu Picchu was in a hidden place, invisible for them,That is why this place survived.

this momumental place survived, and its the most well-preserved Inca cities an archaeological jewel.

some scientists says Machu Picchu was an astronomical observatory, also its sacred Intihuatana stone exactly indicates the two equinoxes. Twice a year, the sun sits directly over the stone and generates no shadow.
